The Palm Beach Harbor Pilots support the Port of Palm Beach Holiday Toy Drive, December 2013

The Palm Beach Harbor Pilots donated hundreds of dollars worth of toys, electronics, and sports equiptment this year to support the Port of Palm Beach Annual Holiday Toy Drive.

A Place of Hope, our local housing for foster care children within Palm Beach County, has recently seen a 300% increase in children coming into the foster care system. Sadly, these children were unable to spend the holidays with their families. In order to make a small contribution to this enormous effort, the Palm Beach Harbor Pilots, the Port of Palm Beach many tenants became a Hands of Hope Community Partner and reached out during this special season of giving to bring joy and hope to children in our community.

A Place of Hope's Hands of Hope program collected gifts for children, teens and young adults residing at Place of Hope, Villages of Hope, Seven Stars Emergency Shelter, Joann's Cottage, and Hope House Florida. The Palm Beach Harbor Pilots Association shopped directly off of the wish lists so that many children had wishes come true when opening up a gift on Christmas morning.
